Revolution Around the Sun

by JONATHAN

yesterday butterflies
today the moon
maybe stars
tepid thunder
showers of cherry
blossoms; bloom
tulips of all pigments
bunnies spring
sunny rain
rainbow sky
winter drafts pigeons under
cta
heat lamps

love thaws
deep inside
dive bars
long lines
crowded stalls
uber stops
paperbags

are you into conspiracies?

pineapple squares
plastic forks
breaking waves
curious gulls
shield lighters
with hand walls
speakers on
battery powered
bicycles
undo tanlines

invisible hand
redraws maps
raises rents
changes names
the sun is red
the heat is blue
middleman maintenance
wings of the same bird
madness in march
fingers cup the world
my bread is conchas
my circus is here

a revolution,
the bar calls.
a revolution,
Last call!
