Frank Zirbel is a musician, composer, filmmaker, and self-taught artist. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in philosophy in 1970, became the bass player for the Chicago new wave band Bohemia in 1979, and has since had artwork featured in more than 70 group and one-man shows. Frank’s art uses representational imagery within stylistic modes of figurative expressionism and classical surrealism. He lives in Avondale, Chicago.
