Tunnel, Yolk

by JAKOB VANLAMMEREN

Where gnawing once bore a tunnel
is just a tunnel.
I can fill space with trinkets
clock towers, books of yesses.
Kisses fill my mind at odd hours.
October light changes fast.
Funny how we make our lives click,
whirring or waiting
for another yolk to split.

Jakob VanLammeren is a poet and a custom picture framer in Chicago. His poems have appeared in burntdistrict, Chicago IRL, diode, Explosion Proof Magazine, and Gigantic Sequins.
