Matt McCarthy is the founder, editor, and publisher of the Milwaukee Avenue Messenger and the author of the rock ‘n’ roll novel Livestock! (highfalutin media). Matt lives in Avondale, Chicago, with his wife and their two cats.

Jesica Davis (she/they) is a poet and technical writer from Chicago. In addition to her duties with Milwaukee Avenue Messenger, she’s an Associate Editor/Co-Founder for Inverted Syntax literary journal whose work has appeared in the Beloit Poetry Journal, Storm Cellar, streetcake magazine, The Laurel Review, Zone 3, and many other places.
